APC YOUTH: Ismaeel, Ekpenyong, Others Meet Buhari, Calls For Inclusiveness

ABUJA– President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday met with the APC Youth Lobby Group led by Barrister Ismaeel Ahmed and 9 other members including Mr Asuquo Ekpenyong, Cross River State’s Commissioner for Finance at the Aso Rock Villa. Mr President at the engagement directed and committed to a ramp up of youth inclusiveness in politics & governance.

During the meeting President Buhari directed the SGF and the Chief of staff to ensure monthly engagements with the group to create room for better synergy and cross pollination of ideas.

The President committed to support young people vying for elected offices adding that the leadership of the APC can guarantee full participation of young people at all levels.

The President also directed the SGF, in liasion with the Lobby Group, to immediately appoint young people with the requisite skills and competence into the various Boards, Agencies and Parastatals currently being constituted.

The group which had in it’s attendance the Cross River State Commissioner for finance, Mr Asuquo Ekpenyong used the occasion to invite the President for it’s first ever Youth Summit holding in Calabar on the 19th of February 2022.
