OGSAA Launches Mobile Advert Stickers To Drive IGR

ABEOKUTA– As part of its internal revenue generation drive, the Ogun State Signage and Advertising Agency (OGSAA) has launched its 2027 Mobile Advert Stickers

The sticker, according to the General Manager, Fola Onifade is an avenue for corporate brands and small business owners to drive visibility and increase brand equity.

Speaking with newsmen in Abeokuta on Thursday, Onifade added that these visibility yeilds best returns when built on structured foundation of total compliance.

“Building on our successful e-sticker architecture, the 2027 permits incorporate enhanced security and confirmation features tailored to eliminate counterfeiting, secure investments for legitimate operators and completely streamline held enforcement operations.

“The launch directly aligns with our state’s broader mission to boost internally generated revenue. The revenue realised are clearly reinvested into the state’s infrastructure expansion, paying way for safer roads, interconnected trade networks and a more competitive economy for businesses to thrive”, he said

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the state Mobile Advert Association, Otunba Alan Shittu stressed that the launch which is a year is expected to create a unified payment structure for the practitioners.

“What we are doing today is launching of stickers of mobile signage in Ogun State. It’s a new season of 2027.

“Most of the vehicles are branded, and they have to get a permit for the branding. So, we are trying to sensitize people and try to let them know that this is their branding, they have to get a permit from Ogun State, and when you get it from Ogun State, throughout Nigeria, you can go

“The government has told us not to harass anybody. We have to be civil when we are doing our job. So, we are trying to educate them that this is not, even road safety, they do roadblock, but there is no roadblock again.

“The federal government has declared that there is no going to be roadblock. They’ are just appealing to the public to please, if you know your motor or vehicle is branded, please, get compliance. Don’t let them harass you unnecessarily”, he warned
Also speaking, a consultant with the agency, Ayo Osipitan, reteraited that the stickers is not a tax, but statutory payments for outdoor advertisement

“People tend to confuse that with road tax, but it is not. We are only, by law, empowered to get people to comply with paying for what they advertise.

“We just go with vehicles of companies, vehicles of other conglomerates, and medias that we see advertisements on them, and we ask for payment”, he said
