“I No Go Gree This Year O”, Gov. Abiodun Says After Supreme Court Victory

ABEOKUTA — The Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun has stated that he won’t lay low for no one in the year 2024, indication that he is ready for political play in the coming years.

The governor recanted the popular street palace, ‘me, i no go gree this year o’, at the welcome event held at the Arcade Ground Governor’s office Oke Mosan Abeokuta on Friday, after the supreme court judgement that affirmed his election as governor of the state.

In his shirt speech, the governor appreciated all those who contributed to his eventual supreme court victory, while spiting those who sat on the fence through out the political race.

“I want to thank our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support, for those who played the devil’s advocate of staying on the fence with one leg as APC and the other leg as PDP, we are ready for them o’

“Me, I no go gree this years o!”, the governor who spoke in Yoruba exclaimed

The supreme court sitting in Abuja on Friday had affirmed the gubernatorial election which Dapo Abiodun won, but was contested at the Tribunals, Appeal and the supreme court by Ladi Adebutu and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

With the victory at the supreme court, and the likely end to all political and legal tussle, one would then wonder what the governor meant by ‘i no go gree this year o’.

Interesting times lies ahead in the political scene in Ogun state, with all political gladiators all gear towards the 2027 elections.
