ABEOKUTA– The Olu of Imasayi-Yewa, HRM Oba Lukman Adeleke Kuoye has congratulated his media consultant, Hakeem Adegbenro on his emergence as Treasurer of the Correspondent chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun state council
In the congratulations message personally signed by the monarch, Oba Kuoye describe Adegbenro as a thorough bred professional whose years of experience will come to bear in the discharge of his duties at the chapel.
“Adegbenro has been a worthy ambassador of the Imasayi Palace since his appointment as my media consultant. I know his wealth of experience will come in handy for the chapel”, he added
Adegbenro, the Ogun state Correspondent for Blueprint Newspaper was elected unopposed at the just concluded Correspondent chapel election on Friday.
He was sworn-in by the state council chairman, Comrade Wale Olanrewaju along with other executives of the chapel on Friday.
Other chapel executives includes, Comrade Rasaq Ayinla of the Business Day newspaper as the Chairman, while Peter Moses of Daily Trust emerged as the Vice Chairman.
Femi Adediran of New Telegraph was elected as the Secretary, while Abiodun Taiwo of News Direct newspaper emerged as the Assistant Secretary.
Other executive members are, Gbenga Oladipupo of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) as the Financial Secretary, while Kolawole Olayinka of Western Post emerged the Auditor of the chapel.
The new executives will serve on a three years tenure which runs till 2026.
