ABEOKUTA—Leaders and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State have intensified mobilisation efforts to secure a second term for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
The party faithful rallied around the administration’s key economic reforms and major infrastructure projects, describing them as crucial foundations for the nation’s long-term development.
This renewed momentum was highlighted during the official commissioning of the Ogun State Secretariat of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Abeokuta, the state capital.
Party members and grassroots mobilisers gathered at the venue, where leaders repeatedly urged them to take the administration’s policies and achievements directly to the citizens at the local level.
Addressing the audience, the Governor of Imo State and Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Senator Hope Uzodinma, commended President Tinubu for showing extraordinary courage in taking tough economic decisions.
Uzodinma, who was represented by the Director of Mobilisation and Administration, Chief Olisa Metuh, noted that hard choices were necessary to effectively re-engineer the Nigerian economy for future stability.
Chief Metuh emphasized that pivotal policy shifts, such as the removal of the petrol subsidy, have freed up critical funds for federal, state, and local governments to invest in public welfare.
He further pointed to extensive road construction and rehabilitation projects across the geopolitical zones as evidence of the administration’s commitment to transforming national infrastructure.
Urging APC members to act as effective ambassadors, Metuh stressed the need to consistently communicate these achievements to Nigerians at the grassroots to ensure sustained political support.
Adding his voice to the call for unity, former Ogun State Governor, Chief Olusegun Osoba, advised party members to maintain peace and resolve internal grievances amicably ahead of the 2027 polls.
Chief Osoba announced plans to personally engage members at the ward level, while promising to advocate for an improved reward system for loyal party workers directly with the President.
In his remarks, the Zonal Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Senator Adebayo Adeyeye, called on the party’s rank and file to register a decisive victory for President Tinubu at the ballot box.
Earlier in the event, the Ogun State Coordinator of the group, Prince Olusegun Adesegun, noted that the new secretariat would serve as a strategic hub to streamline grassroots operations and reinforce political structures across the state’s 20 local government areas.
