IJEBU– Daramola Dynasty Foundation (DDF), has Launched Literacy Project at Iyankan High School, Isara Remo in Ogun state.
This according to the foundation is aimed to confront educational inequality and inspire the minds of young Nigerians.
The literacy outreach titled “Tools to Learn, Wings to Fly” at Iyankan High School, Isara Remo, was in commemoration of the year 2025 Children Day.
Speaking on the impact of the event, Adedoyin Adeeso, Operations Manager at the Daramola Dynasty Foundation, said, “Science has proven time and again that a reading culture improves not only academic outcomes but long-term quality of life.
“Readers are better thinkers, better problem solvers, and more confident contributors to society.
“What we did today reflects our commitment to SDG 4—Quality Education. It’s a promise that no child, regardless of where they’re born, should be left behind in the pursuit of knowledge”.
Meanwhile, the Vice Principal of the beneficiary school, Mrs. Ikumapayi, lauded the initiative, saying that, “This for us went beyond the improvement in facilities.
“It’s the kind of support that reminds our students they matter. It gives them wings and shows them they can be anything they choose to be”.
Highlights of the event includes the donation of a brand-new laptop to students. Just as the students had moment of read aloud, spelling bee and motivational talks which created an atmosphere that motivated students to embrace learning beyond a classroom chore.
High-performing students were therefore recognized and awarded cash prizes in a segment that honored them for their discipline, resilience, and consistent effort.
The foundation as part of effort to revamp the learning of the school, the dusty, nearly forgotten library was transformed into a vibrant space for reading and mental exposure, just as the room was equipped with newly furnished chairs, neatly arranged tables, and shelves stacked with specially curated books.
