Women across the country, long recognised as the crucial foot soldiers at every polling unit, are taking the lead in this nationwide drive. Daily meetings and strategic engagements are already well underway to map out clear pathways for a decisive victory.
The primary objective of these nationwide gatherings is to guarantee that President Tinubu secures a convincing second term in office come 2027.
Leading this ambitious campaign drive is Dr. Betta Edu, Director of Women Mobilisation for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council.
Operating under the leadership of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, the directorate has officially begun activating structures across all 176,846 polling-unit communities.
Strategic planning and robust engagements are currently taking place across the length and breadth of the country, uniting women from diverse socio-political backgrounds.
In the North-West, the movement has gained immediate momentum, stretching from Ward 1 in Gumel Local Government Area of Jigawa State to Dawaki Ward and 15 other wards in Dawakin Kudu, Kano State.
Similar strategic ward-level activations are actively taking place across Bebeji, Sabon Gari, and Kano Municipal local government areas.
The momentum extends deeply into Zamfara State, with active mobilisation reported across various wards in Maradun, Gusau, and several other key local government areas.
In the North-Central, women leaders in Kwara State, particularly across Ilorin and neighboring LGAs, are organizing local networks to consolidate voter support.
The story is identical across the South-East, South-South, and South-West, with high-energy engagements reported in Imo, Cross River, Benue, Plateau, Oyo, Ondo, Rivers, and Osun states.
For the participating women, the motivation stems from policies implemented by the current administration that have directly relieved financial pressure on their households.
A major point of emphasis during these grassroots meetings is the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which provides both tuition fees and monthly stipends for university students.
Women at the ward level report that the student loan scheme has significantly reduced university dropout rates, lifting a massive financial burden off mothers across the nation.
Additionally, targeted empowerment programs—notably the First Lady’s Renewed Hope Initiative—have provided direct socio-economic support to vulnerable families, reinforcing popular support for the administration’s continuation.
