Eid-El-Adha: Hon. Tolulope Phillips Urges Nigerians To Cultivate Habit Of Keeping Promises.

ABEOKUTA– The Apagunpote of Ijaye land, Chief Tolulope Oluwafikayo Ayinla Phillips has called on Nigerians to cultivate the habit of keeping to their promises.

This forms part of his goodwill message to Muslim faithfuls as the world celebrates the eid-el-adha, the festival of slaughtering of ram, in commemoration of Prophet Ibrahim promise to Allah.

Hon. Phillips further lamented the struggles of many Nigerians, noting that the government’s failure to deliver on its promises has left many citizens unable to afford basic necessities, let alone enjoy festive celebrations.

“The government of Nigeria has failed its citizens; a lot of people can no longer afford a good meal in their homes for festivals,” he said.

He however urged Nigerians to emulate the exemplary obedience of Prophet Ibrahim, who fulfilled his promise to Allah. “As we celebrate Idil-Hadia, let us reflect on the importance of keeping promises.

“If we all keep our promises, life will be a better place for us. I urge Nigerians, especially those with means, to make their neighbors happy and give hope to those in need”, he said

The PDP chieftain message is a timely reminder of the need for integrity and accountability in our personal and collective lives. As Nigerians celebrate Idil-Hadia, Hon. Tolulope Phillips’ words of wisdom offer a beacon of hope for a brighter future.

“May this festive season bring joy, peace, and prosperity to all,”* Hon. Tolulope Phillips prayed. *”May we learn from Prophet Ibrahim’s obedience and strive to keep our promises, one to another, and to our nation”, he added
