IKOM– The Executive Chairman of Ikom Local Government Area, I’m Cross River State, Hon. Pst. [Mrs] Mercy Nsor, has approved the immediate formation of Sanitation Board.
The board, according to the chairman, is tasked with the responsibility of supervising the Monthly Evacuation of Waste in Ikom Main Market, overseeing Environmental Sanitation activities in the Rural Areas, and also working in tandem with the activities of the Ikom Urban Development Authority [IUDA] to ensure a cleaner and healthier Ikom LGA.
The statement made available to newsmen by the council boss Chief Press Secretary, Ntemoyuk Christopher Ntemoyuk added that the board is composed of representatives from the Eleven Council Wards of Ikom LGA and would work under the strict Supervision of the Supervisor for Environment, Hon. Osim Ozang Nkwam, who is expected to brief the Executive Chairman on a monthly basis
The Sanitation Board Includes,Mr. Atu Victor Nyam as Chairman, while Comrade Effort Okim Bassey will serve as the Vice Chairman, just as Mr. Paul James is the Secretary
Other members of the board includes,Mr. Edim Pius, Mrs. Eunice Amba Ndifon, Mr. Austin Nsabe Egumi, Mrs Njan Awor Akonjom, Mr. Paul Eba and Mr. Charles Ndifon
Mr. Raphael Amba, Mr. Enagu Ndoma Eko, Mr Courage Agbor, Mrs Ada Erim Eka, and Ekoba Ndoma Nyip, the IUDA representative are also on the board
