ABEOKUTA– The Chief Executive Officer of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, Amb. Babatunde Adeyemo has lauded former Ogun state governor, Aremo Olusegun Osoba rural electrification projects, which according to him paved way for the location of Pelican Brief estate project at Kobape area of the state.
Adeyemo stated this while receiving the ‘Man of the Year’ award at the Synergy 2023 Awards, held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta on Sunday.
“I want to dedicates this award to former Governor of Ogun State, Aremo, Olusegun Osoba for his rural electrification projects during his years in Office, which paved way for the location of the Pelican-Brief Estate project at Kobape, Ogun State”, he said
Adeyemo, who is the brain behind the Pelican Valley Estate Laderin, Abeokuta; Pelican Brief Estate; Pelican’s Ecostay Apartments and Pelican Green Acres Farm Estate – located at Kobape corridor of Ogun State, is also a philanthropist and founder, Oko Opo Foundation, the vehicle through which he caters to the widows, children and other vulnerable members of the society.
He however congratulate all his estates existing customers, noting that the company will soon halt sales of lands to concentrate on luxury housing development and sales on it Estates.
Explaining the rationale behind the honour, Mr Kazeem Adewale, the founder of Synergy Interlinks Network, said the Meritorious Man of the Year Award given to the young philanthropist and real estate developer, is meant to celebrate his remarkable achievements in the areas of philanthropy, integrity and due diligence in real estate practice, jobs creation and helping to bridge the nation’s widening housing deficit.
Other personalities who received the Synergy’s meritorious awards include a member of Ogun State House of Assembly representing Idiroko Ipokia state constituency, Hon Bisi Oyedele and Hon. Lukman Adeleye, the minority leader of the Ogun state house of Assembly.
Also honoured are Miss Gift Barry-Oba, of Ogun watch Online and Saheed Adeola of Fresh FM, Abeokuta who bagged young journalist of the year in the female and male category respectively.
