ILARO— The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) brought its presidential and National Assembly campaign to Ogun West Senatorial District on Wednesday, drawing a massive crowd across major towns in the stronghold of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate.
Led by the Ogun PDP governorship candidate, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, who represented presidential candidate Professor Sandy Onor, the campaign train made major stops across Ogun West’s three federal constituencies alongside the party’s senatorial candidate, Honourable Babatunde Ogunola (popularly known as Tomo), and various House of Representatives flagbearers.
Addressing crowds of residents, artisans, and community leaders, PDP leaders linked the nation’s current economic hardship to misrule by the governing party and urged citizens to vote for candidates with proven track records, while promising to eradicate poverty, revive the economy, and restore stability ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Also speaking, the House of Representatives candidate Engr. Temitayo Agemo-Okuboyejo and Senatorial candidate, Babatunde Ogunola pledged grassroots development and purposeful representation.
A large reception greeted the party in Ilaro, where Honourable Tade Afolabi was formally presented as the candidate for the House of Representatives.
The party officially presented presidential candidate Professor Sandy Onor, senatorial candidate Babatunde Ogunola, and House of Representatives candidate Honourable Ogunbona Ajibola Daniel.
Throughout the tour, PDP leaders urged voters to turn out en masse, protect their votes at the ballot box, and reject political intimidation, while local community leaders assured the delegation of their support at the polls.
