ENUGU– It is never the intention of this write up, to join issues with the so many Political BUCCANEERS, who in the recent past, have been heating up the polity with all manner of permutations, as to what to expect, in the Political turf of Enugu State come 2023, and in their warped reasoning too, it falls within their Political franchise to decide how the political pendulum in Enugu State would swing ostensibly to foster their misplaced ambitions.
But the caveat on these bizarre prepositions, by these praise singers (OTINKPUS), is to forestall their continuos subversions and subjugations of the fundamentals of endearing democracy, on the altar of their pleasantries, for pecuniary exploits.
The bogus capitulation, albeit impracticable; COAL CITY and SOUTH EAST AIRLINES, is a preposition of one of the PROPONENTS of the many gladiators joggling to occupy the Lion building, come 2023, in the person of Distinguished senator IKE Ekweremadu, but i make bold to add, that while they push for the candidates of their choice, BUON SENSO, should be their guiding princeples, as we have suffered too many degradations and deprivations, from over bloated and propagandistic promises, from people, who aspire to govern us.
Never again, shall we allow folks, without the prerequisite antecedents, to mount the saddle of governance in Enugu State, as they will continue to compound our woes as a people.
Never again, are we going to allow people, who have not excelled in their chosen endeavors, to lead the path of governance , as they will lead us, to further steep holes.
For Enugu State, of tomorrow, we should enthrone, a boisterous and a reinvigorated policy thinkers, to achieve the basic economic emancipation and not political opportunists with empty rhethorics.
The Enugu State leaders of tomorrow, should be people with impeachable character and exceptional credentials who are abreast with the basic knowledge of how to govern a modern state and set it on the path of rapid socioeconomic growth, not the usual rhethorics of same Political merchants, who have supreintended our political space, for well over two decades and monumentally, displayed exceptional ineptitude in all ramifications, whence the stagnation.
We should jesttison, the old brigade, the political TRADERS, who have failed us repeatedly, should we desire earnestly, to change the status quo, or we remain stagnated from the antics of deceit and ineptitude Political jingoism, which has been the bane of Enugu politics, from quasi, all her Political Representatives, both within and at the federal level.
The trending, though, deceitful imputation from one Mr. Celestine Okanya, Chief Executive Officer, Nigeria National Accreditation Service, that one of the gladiators, angling for the Governorship slot of Enugu State, come 2023, Distinguished senator IKE Ekweremadu, shall float COAL CITY and SOUTH EAST AIRLINES, as a mitigator to the unemployment debacle of Enugu State, on becoming the Governor, is a preposterous and unsustainable assertion, as he did not give us the feasibility indices, to substantiate the realization of same and therefore, dead on arrival (DOA), as the distinguished senator, over the years, has reduced himself, to a provincial Politician, despite been a very high ranking senator, getting to be the number five(5) Citizen (Deputy Senate president) of the federal republic of Nigeria, yet, he could not lobby, on the dilapidated federal roads, in and out of Enugu State.
The Onitsha – Enugu road, is a nightmare, till today, the Enugu -Port Harcourt road, because of its impassability, has become a den of kidnappers and armed robbers, the Enugu international airport, has been work in progress, till today, yet, we have people, that has attained such lofty height, in the federal polity, yet Enugu State, has no single federal government presence, to show, for having her son, as the leader of the entire membership of the South East, in the National Assembly, prior to the current Ninth National Assembly.
If he cannot do it then with all the privileges and perks of office, at his disposal, he will not do it, even as a Governor, as any good day, starts it’s shining prowess, from the cock’s crow.
Coal City and South East Airlines, are not the palliative needed for our many economic and developmental woes, as our strength and economic emancipation, as a people is embedded in our arable lands and the enormous inherent potentialities in Agriculture.
Enugu State, is endowed with enormous agricultural potentials, bound in all the three senatorial zones of the state, that if properly harnessed and packaged, could set out Enugu State, on a prosperous streaming capable of surpassing the hitherto economic and developmental impact of the gains oil boom, had on the entire economic blueprint of Nigeria, of the past.
The era of Elephant projects of COAL CITY and SOUTH EAST AIRLINES, as being brandished by Mr. Celestine Okanya, on behalf of Distinguished senator IKE Ekweremadu, as a springboard to the economic Rennaisance of Enugu State, is entirely, the wrong antidote, on our quest for an emancipatory economic trajectory, drawing antecedents from Akwa Ibom state and others, who have taken, to that easy ride, albeit delusional and a manifest of lack of leadership prudence.
A new and prosperous Enugu State, is possible, if the Agricultural prowess of the three senatorial zones, becomes the pivotal developmental hydrants, based on the immense agricultural potentials, which should be the mainstay of our economy, as we might never develope, if these agricultural goldmines, are not harnessed, packaged and proactively merchandised.
Under the harmonization of the Agricultural goldmines, Enugu East, shall be the hob of RICE production, with production sites, in Ugbawka, Nomeh, Isi-Uzo, while Agbani, Awgu and Nike, shall be the collation and distribution centers, for ease of access, while the bagging factories, shall be sited, at predetermined strategic towns, on equity and fair play considerations.
Enugu North, shall be the new trading rendezvous for HONEY and palm oil, with it’s distilling and bottling factory sites, demands the basic adoption of the doctrine of necessities.
Then, Enugu west Senatorial zone, will be engaged, for the productions and distribution of our endowed cashew nuts, which is a cash crop of exceptional international demands.
It’s also, imperative, to improve her palm oil production, in the Eziagu axis, alongside, siting of bottling and packaging companies for it’s associated auxiliary exigencies, in nearby proximities.
These initiatives, shall buoy and spike the economy of Enugu State, beyond the imagination of the proponents of the mirage and deceitful COAL CITY and SOUTH EAST AIRLINES, which is nothing than another economic contraption, that will wreck more harm, and deepen our economic woes and desperations, as a people.
Let it also be reiterated, that a good government, will anchor these initiatives, on the distinguished sons and daughters of the respective senatorial precinths, after providing the leadership and logistics leeways, as government, has no business in doing business, other than provisions of security and welfare of her people.
Despite the unprecedented employment opportunities inherent, in this, it will also, spike the internal generated revenue(IGR), of Enugu State, as every production, shall be listed and taxed.
This is one of the economic developmental strides, needed to take Enugu State, out of the woods, not a moribund and uninspiring COAL CITY and SOUTH EAST AIRLINES, which is not only unsustainable, but also unrealistic, both as an economic antidote, nor, a mitigation, for unemployment of our teeming unemployed youths.
Again, transformation of COAL CAMP, into a Technological hub and Ninth mile, four corners, into a functional 24hours commercial hub centers, will change the enterprenuerial narratives and prospects of Enugu State, just but in 180days, of a great thinking and performing leadership.
We therefore, advise all those aspiring to occupy the LION BUILDING, come 2023, from Enugu East Senatorial zone(NKANU EAST), to be practical and dynamic thinkers, because, Enugu State, shall be great again.
God has given Enugu State, enterprising sons and daughters, to take her, to an enviable height.
