NUJ Mourns Former Ogun Council Secretary, Soji Amosu

ABEOKUTA– The National Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has commiserated the Ogun State Council of the union over the demise of its former Secretary, Mr Soji Amosu

Amosu passed away on Sunday at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta after a brief illness aged 53.

In a statement signed by the Assistant National Secretary of the Union, Akorede Opeyemi, and addressed to the leadership of the state Union, a copy made available to The News Ville on Monday, it expressed rude shock over the sudden death of the council former Secretary.

The National President of the Union, Chief Chris Isiguzo on behalf of the Nationality Executive Council (NEC) stated that the deceased left when his service to humanity was still strongly required.

“We received the news of the demise of the former Secretary of the Ogun State Council of our great Union, Mr Soji Amosu with rude shock.

“His sudden demise on Sunday, November 14, 2021 came at a time when his services to humanity were still strongly required”, the statement reads

The National President however express his heartfelt condolences to Amosu’s family, Ogun State Council and his numerous friends and well-wishers

He therefore pray God to grant his soul eternal repose.
