IMASAYI-YEWA—- The Olu Of Imasayi-Yewa, Oba Lukman Olalekan Adeleke Kuoye, Ph.D, Fcim will begin the 3rd year coronation programme/ appeasement of beaded crown, and other shrines in the ancient community of Imasayi from October, 2024.
The ‘Odun Eta’ has fondly called will start with a Jumat Service at the Naiwarudeen Central Mosque, Imasayi, on the 27th September, 2024.
In a statement released by the palace media consultant, Hakeem Adegbenro, it stated that various stakeholders meetings and empowerment programs have been slated for 30th September, 2024.
The statement further indicate that on the 1st October, 2024, the monarch will perform the appeasement of gods including but not limited to Egungun, just as the famous kokoro and Eko night will begin by 8pm till dawn at the palace.
An Interdenominational prayer session, including Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Muslim association will be held on October 2nd.
“A 21 gun salute marking another year, beating and dancing to the traditional ‘gbedu’ drums and appeasement of the traditional beaded crown at the Palace. Special prayers will be showered on Imasayi Chiefs, indigenes and residents, IBD, Zolakas and all the good people that have been supporting Olu Imasayi, has been scheduled for October 2nd.
“The installation of Otun Aare, Special prayers for the President, Governor of Ogun State, Senator Olamilekan Solomon Adeola, Yayi, Hon. Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, Hon. Adegoke Awoso and Hon. Haruna Egungbohun will also take place.
“Oba Lukman Kuoye Private Palace warming, special prayers and entertainment of guests at the private palace will follow suit.
“The Oro traditional worshippers will also offer prayers at night, begining from 10pm till 4am on October 3rd, while the event will be concluded with a thanksgiving service at the Christ Church, Imasayi on the 7th of October, 2024”, the event will be a low key event, but the significant of ‘odun eta’ to the throne warrants the appeasement, statement reads
