Ogun PDP Is One, United, Ready To Take Over In 2023– Sikirulai Ogundele

ABEOKUTA– The newly elected People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ogun State Chapter, Alhaji Sikirulai Ogundele has reteraited that the party is more United to take over the helms of affairs in the state come 2023.

The Chairman made this known while speaking with newsmen today after the Party State Congress at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Abeokuta

Sikirulai said that the unity that exists within the party as a result of the court judgement which is being obeyed by the conduct of the ward, local and state congresses gives further credence that the party is ready to take over power come 2023.

In his words, “The people have tasted the government of PDP and they are tasting the hardship of APC. During Osoba’s administration, the state used to be known as civil servants state when workers were receiving salaries as at when due”

“When Otunba Gbenga Daniel came on board the state economy was turned to a viable one. But Amosun has taken us back through a government of ‘tiki taka’, a government that didn’t have blue print”

“They only embark on whatever comes to their minds. It was a ‘tiki taka’ government, he just woke up in the morning and decided to demolish houses”

“For eight years, there was no blueprint and the one we are having now, I mean the Dapo Abiodun’s government, up to a year now, there’s no vision and mission to run the state”

“Come 2023, PDP is coming to take over the mantle of administration in Ogun State”

The newly sworn-in chairman further stated that he intend to run an inclusive administration, where all the aggrieved members will be brought back to the fold.

“My intention is to run an all inclusive administration. One thing that I have achieved during my preliminary exercise is that I have been able to bring back all the parties back to PDP”

“It was a misunderstanding and not crisis that led to people leaving the Party. But today we have convinced ourselves on the reasons why we have to come together”

“We now have everybody in our fold today. If you consider the nonchalant attitude of APC in the state today. They find it difficult to give ordinary parliative to the people during this covid-19 pandemic lockdown”

“With all this sensitivity, PDP is ready to take power in Ogun State. The people of Ogun State have been robbed, but come 2023 they will see the light through PDP” he concludes
