AKURE- The leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Ogun JCC has congratulated Dr. (Mrs) Funmilayo Ayinke Waheed-Adekojo on her recognition as The 9th Ondo State Woman of the year.
The event organised by Hope International Magazine and Ondo State Outstanding Leadership Award Platform was held at the D Dome Event Centre Akure, the capital of Ondo State on Sunday.
According to a statement signed by its Chairman, Comrade Damilola Simeon Kehinde [Da Osmos] also encourages her not to relent on her humanitarian endeavor, especially to the students constituency.
The statement further reads, ” It gladdens our hearts to see Dr. (Mrs) Funmilayo Ayinke Waheed-Adekojo who has been a true, selfless and supportive trailblazer being meritoriously acknowledged for all her altruistic labour especially in Academics, Health, Mentorship, Human capacity building and Community development.
“We are not surprised by this recognition as it is merely a testament to the giant strides and uncountable humanitarian efforts you’ve embarked on, lives you’ve touched and people you’ve made.
“The countless lives bearing your indismissable impacts also attests to your timely and unfeigned benevolence.
Indeed you’re everything a woman should be and more.
“As the leadership of NANS in Ogun State, we unequivocally express our utmost pride in being associated with your distinguished person”
Comrade Simon therefore urge the awardee not to be weary in doing good as the enviable path she has chosen is that of greatness.
“We are also convinced that all of the good seeds you’ve planted in people’s lives will come back to you in “…good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over…”
“On this day we pray that as your days [are], so shall your strength be, may your sphere of influence never diminish, may your resources never decrease and may you be strengthened to attain even greater success.
