ABEOKUTA– The National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party, Hon. Sunday Abayomi Arabambi has bagged a meritorious award at the 12th ACE Magazine Awards organized by Otunba Olumide Adeleke.
Arabambi was decorated with other eminent personalities with the award on Sunday, at NUJ secretariate, Iwe iron Abeokuta the state capital.
Speaking with Newsmen, Arabambi commended the organizer of the award, noting that it is an award for him to do more in society particularly to defend the less privileged and make sure that those who are executive rascality are on their toes.
He added that he would continue to make his voice heard for a better society and Nigeria so that Nigerians will be happy within themselves.
“It is an award that will spur me to do more, especially to defend the less privileged and make sure that we put those who are executive rascality on their toes”.
“Quoting from Martin Luther King; who says our lives begin to end on the day we keep silent on the things that matter, so on this note, we will continue to make our voice heard for a better Society and a better Nigeria, so Nigerians can live happily within themselves”.
Speaking on the removal of subsidy and its implications for the economy of the country, Arabambi suggested that the Chairman of NNPCL Mali Kyari must be put on his toes, saying that he ought to have tendered a resignation letter.
He disclosed that Labour Party would query him, maintaining that he is greatly incompetent because he came up with some excuses that the maker’s function determines the price of fuel, within 7 days he couldn’t provide an audited account NNPCL to the President.
“I think since the President has changed the EFCC boss, the Police and Chief of Army staff the CBN, Malee Kyari also needs to be sacked because it is very obvious that he wants to destabilize the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu”.
“For him to just come out in how many weeks, and increase the price of petrol because he is seeing it for free, for us in Labour Party, we are with the NLC, TUC, and we are with Nigerians that thing is unacceptable”.
“The question now for him is where is the audited account of NNPC, for him to even keep that to himself is a criminal in nature”.
