ABEOKUTA– A Chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Lanre Oyegbola has urged both federal and state governments to invest more in education.
Oyegbola in a statement marking this year’s International day of Girl-Child, noted well thought out investment in education will improve the standard of the sector.
He also suggested compulsory education for all the children of the country, appealing to the National Assembly to enact law ensuring total compliance.
Oyegbola said the move if followed to the latter, will reduce the high rate of out -of – school children.
He called on all other relevant stakeholders to join hands with government to ensure all children are educated.
