ABEOKUTA– The Oluwo of Ijeja in Abeokuta South Local Government of Ogun State, Chief Aremu Bamgboye, popularly known as Ajiki-Olu has made it known that the citizens and residents of the state have full faith in Governor Dapo Abiodun, saying that, the governor will do well in his second term in office.
Ajiki-Olu, who is a famous music and film promoter, stated this on Monday while briefing newsmen at his Abeokuta office.
He said this to oppose how some are saying that Governor Abiodun has not chosen his colleagues for the second term, after few days of swearing-in, for this second term.
The Chief, Ajiki-Olu said that Governor Abiodun has to carefully look for the right ones, and those who are suitable for each position, he will not want to make any mistake of the first term
In his speech, he said: “Choosing partners is not something special, one should not be in a hurry to choose those who will continue his administration, especially the governance of the state.
“We can’t say that when something gets hot, we want to rush it down, no, it will be a big problem. If you say that the eyes you love want to move, and the eyes are not suitable for the situation in your mind, it will be hurtful.
“Dapo Abiodun fulfilled his promise in the first round, this made the people believe that he will do more in the second term, which made them vote for him, especially when there was no one else to lead Ogun state in the last election, than him.
“If you look at President Tinubu, you will see that he has not yet chosen his ministerial partners, who will work with him, that should have told you that the selection of partners is not something that they must do in an hurry.
“Governor Abiodun has had a lot of experience, that’s why he must carefully look at the right place for each individual to hold. There is still time.
“What I’m really sure about is that the Governor knows the candidates for each position, he just needs a little time, and there’s still plenty of time. This second term will be better than the first, I have this feeling, and we must have a lot of patience”.
