COTONOU— The Young Media Practitioners Of Nigeria (YOMPON), Ogun State Chapter has sponsor its members to an international Journalists exchange programme in Cotonou, the Benin Republic.
The four days programme which started on the 11th of October with departure set at 14th October, 2021 is aimed at broadening the journalists international experience while engaging in tourism.
The annual international exchange programme is organized by the Information Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Ogun State council, with support from the Ogun state government.
Speaking on arrival, the state chairman of YOMPON, Saheed Adeola appreciate it’s members for the support, adding that the programme is one of many reasons for creating the association.
He added that the association will is ready to liase with any link minds organisations in bringing knowledge available to it members
“This programme is a welcome development for our members. We keyed into this initiative because it is tandem with our set out values.
“We wanted to create association with a difference and I believe that this kind of international experience will further afford our members the opportunity to see beyond the shores of Nigeria”, he added
He however thank the association sponsors which includes, Asiwaju of Orile Imo, High Chief Olakunle Olalekan, Commissioner for Urban Development, Hon. Taiwo Oludotun (Twinny) and CEO Boundless Multi-Service Solutions, Dr. Oti Jonathan, saying that the association will take the welfare of its members at heart.
