ABEOKUTA– The Articulated Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) Ogun State Chapter, has vowed to review and redefine the activities of its members to further strengthen the cord of sanity in the state.
The Board of trustees’ Chairman of the association, Alhaji Wale Ajiboye, popularly known as ‘MTN’, made this known in a press release he personally signed and made available to newsmen.
Alhaji Ajiboye said that efforts are in top gear for the union to review and redefine some activities of the Okada riders’ in the state
He further stated that there is need for Union leaders to put together a collective effort towards curbing the evil acts of some riders who have made themselves available as devil’s tools to perpetrate evil and terrorise citizens of the State.
He also reference the period when commercial motorcycles are used by some riders to carry out some evil acts within the State, thereby leaving the people in a helpless situation.
He assured that the motorcycle Unions are working round the clock to reduce the acts drastically and ensure they are not as rampant as we used to have.
He further revealed that the associations have teamed up with the security agencies at all level in order to reduce the menace and that ‘we are hoping a stop will come to it as soon as possible’.
Alhaji Ajiboye enjoined all members of the union and commercial riders to be good ambassadors of the State anytime, anyday, noting that the progress of the State should be their topmost priority.
