LAGOS– The Nigeria Police Force in Lagos State, has declared one, Lawal Abiodun Yusuf wanted for being involved in the act of homosexuality.
The act which contravened the provision of same sex marriage prohibition Act 2013 is punishable with fourteen years imprisonment.
In a police gazette bulletin titled, CB: 2400/LS/TTC/VOL2/168, a copy made available to our reporter, Lawal was caught in the act after he was reported by his wife which raise alarm to the community youths at Adelabu, Masha, Surulere, Lagos State.

Lawal however escaped, while efforts to locate his whereabout was futile, as at the time of filing this report.
“This is to informed the General Public that the above named whose photograph appear above with height 10.2m and eyes Brown, who resides at 16 Fred Anyam Street, Off Adelabu- Masha, Surulere, Lagos State, Nigeria, has been declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force.
“He is being wanted to for been involved in the act of homosexuality (Gay) which is contrary with the provision of same sex marriage (prohibition) Act, 2013 and punishable with fourteen years imprisonment.
“It was reported that in May 2022, he was caught in the act by the community youths at Adelabu, Masha, Surulere, Lagos State, but escaped, while efforts to locate his whereabout was futile, as he was said to have absconded to another location in order to evade arrest and the wrath of the community youths.
“Consequently, members of the public with useful information that may lead to his arrest are advised to report to the nearest police station for a hand some reward”, the police statement reads.
