ABEOKUTA– The Pentecostal Fellowship Of Nigeria, Ogun State Branch, Friday, awarded the state Commissioner of Police, CP Edward Ajogun as it’s Ambassador.
The investiture of the CP was done when the Christian body paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner in his office at the police Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.
The association expressed it’s continued support to the State police Command in their efforts to make Ogun State crime free.
The association Chairman, Apostle David Otaru while speaking on behalf of the body, acknowledged that within the short period the CP has spent in the State, his crime fighting efforts are being felt everywhere across the State.
Apostle Otaru cited the example of the serial killer in Ogere who had been on killing prowl ever before the assumption of the CP, but was swiftly neutralized barely one month after his assumption.
He also cited the example of those armed robbery suspects operating in military uniform along Shagamu-Benin road but were recently rounded up.
“With these and other achievements recorded in recent time, the PFN believed that the State is in for good things under the watch of CP Edward Ajogun”, the chairman added
Responding, the CP thanked the association for the visit and their prayer, while urging them not to relent in their prayers and support for the Command, adding that security is everybody’s business.
Other members of the delegation include Pastor Abatan Isreal State advisory council chairman, Rev. Oludimu Ben and other State executives’ officers of the body.
