A mother-like figure to the two time Gubernatorial Candidate of Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) 2015 , Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the 2019 general elections, Otunba Rotimi Paseda, Alhaja Balikis Ayedun has passed on.
Alhaja Ayedun died on Monday at her Mowe-Ibafo residence at the age of 80.
The deceased who until her death was Iyaloja Of Mowe Town, Igbein Abeokuta had since been buried according to Islamic rites.
The deceased was born on March 30, 1940 in Obafemi Owode local government, Ogun State.
Paseda who spoke through his media team, said the late Iyaloja loved him like a son and lived an exemplary life through her faith and humanitarian assistance to the downtrodden in the community.
He described the late Octogenarian as a devoted Muslim who inculcated the fear of God and philanthropic gestures in everyone around her.
He therefore prayed God to grant her Aljanah firdous and grant the family the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
The deceased is survived by Children, grand children, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
