ABEOKUTA– The Olu Of Imasayi-Yewa, HRM Oba Lukman Adeleke Kuoye (Rtn) has been confered the Life Patron of an International NGO, Cheerful Life Charity & Empowerment Foundation, code named, Life is Fun Island.
The conferment, which held the famous Ilaji Resort, in Ona Ara Local Government area of Oyo state, coincidence with the NGO 4th Annual Convention, with the theme: Modern Day Parenting; Understanding The New Generation.
The well attended convention, with the the Guest Lecturer, Mrs Ibukunola Otesile, PhD, had over three hundred members from the Southern States, Northern States and FCT, with the Youth wing of the organization also in attendance.
In his acceptance speech, Oba Kuoye said the conferment came to him as a shock, while, promising to do everything humanly possible within his reach to uplift the organization.
He therefore enjoined the members to cooperate with him and other stakeholders in the upliftment of the organization, while urging members to register their child at their respective regions.
Cheerful Life Charity & Empowerment Foundation was birthed about eight years ago and since its formation, it has been waxing stronger daily, it also has more than six thousand members till date.
The Foundation has many professionals ranging from Civil Servants, Career officers, Business tycoons, Traditional Rulers, Sport Administrators, Hoteliers, Students etc.
The aims of the organization was to help the vulnerable people, advocacy on the rising social menace such as Domestic Violence, Depression, Supports to widow/widower, helping the indigent students, Business Supports etc.
The organization was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC. The foundation of the organization was a brainchild of Nana CEO, with Prof. Francis Oyebade, as the Chairman, Executive members, BoT, Grand Patron, Patron, and Regional Leaders.
