Ogun NUJ Federated Chapel Crisis: Niyi Adeloye Faction Not Part Of Federated Chapel, Until….— VP, Cosmos Oni

The Vice President, B Zone of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Cosmos Oni has reteraited that the Niyi Adeloye led faction who excluded themselves from the special Congress held yesterday at the Iwe Iroyin Secretariat have ceased to be part of the chapel until remorse is sort and welcome back into the fold

Speaking to newsmen after the Congress, Comrade Cosmos said the faction has not offended anybody by their actions, but themselves.

He further stated that by their actions, they have only said they don’t want to be part of the federated chapel ‘for now’.

The Vice President who in company of the Zonal Secretary, Bamigbola Gbolagunte on the instructions of the National President were in the state to look into the lingering crisis within the chapel, said the faction only proved that they no longer belong to the Ogun State Federated chapel.

“our mission here today is to iron out the lingering crisis within the Federated chapel because we are aware we have two factions”

“We sent every documentation to both sides that they should come here for amicable resolution. But unfortunately, we found out that when we got here that some faction decided to exclude themselves, even when the national President called them which means that is disregard to the national body of NUJ.

“I am representing the national President here today, so I will never support such a thing. So with the directives of the national President, I have to go ahead with the meeting.

“Today, members of the chapel that are willing to abide by the constitution of NUJ have spoken!. They have dissolved the executive of the chapel and have put in the caretaker, doubled as the electoral committee to work within the next two weeks for the new elections of the chapel” he said
