ABEOKUTA— Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo and the Managing Director of Lotus Bank, Kafilat Araoye, on Saturday, flagged off the Abeokuta 10km Race.
The race was organised by Nilayo Sports Management Limited to commemorate the 80th birthday of Oba Gbadebo.
The Chief Executive Officer or NSML, Hon. Bukola Olopade was equally on ground.
The race was started at Iyana Oloke junction and to terminate at Ake palace.
Over 2000 athletes are participating in the race.
Elite runner to reach the finish line will go home with $5,000 USD while the second place will get $3000 and third place $1000.
