ABEOKUTA– Foremost music promoter, Chief Aremu Bamgboye has empowered his former class mates with cash and other valuable items.
Recall that Bamgboye was elected President of the Alumni Association set 1995-1996 of Anglican High School, Quarry Abeokuta recently
According to Ajiki, the guesture is in fulfilment of his promises when he assumed the helm of affairs of the association, saying that he will continue to ensure the welfare of his former colleagues are taken as priority.
He added that the plights of the widows in the association cannot be over-emphasised, saying that collectively they can bridge the gap left by their dead love ones.
“When I assumed the leadership of this alumni association, I made it clear that the welfare of everyone is my priority, especially the widow amongst us.
“What we are doing today is in fulfilment of that promise made to you all. We will continue to look after each other and collectively, we can hold our hands up the ladder”, he stressed
Meanwhile, one of the beneficiary, (name withheld) lauded the guesture, describing it as a ‘gift from heaven’.
“My late mother was your class mates. She will definitely be happy wherever she is. I know she must be thanking you all for these on her children”, she added
