ABEOKUTA–The Ogun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has congratulated former Commissioner for Women Affair, Hon. Adijat Adeleye on the occasion of her 50th birthday.
The council in a statement co-signed by its chairman, Comrade Akinwale Olanrewaju
Chairman, and Secretary, Comrade Bunmi Adigun, and made available to newsmen stated that the celebrant has distinguished herself as a dedicated public servant.
Having served meritoriously as a Member of the Ogun State House of Assembly and subsequently as Commissioner for Women Affairs, where she championed policies and programmes aimed at improving the welfare of women, children and vulnerable members of society, Hon. Adijat is seeking to represent the good people of Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
“As she marks this significant milestone, the Council acknowledges her remarkable contributions to the political and socio-economic development of Ogun State, as well as her commitment to grassroots empowerment and inclusive governance.
“The Ogun NUJ also recognizes Hon. Adeleye’s longstanding cordial relationship with journalists across the state.
“Over the years, she has remained a friend of the media, demonstrating respect for the profession and supporting efforts geared towards promoting responsible journalism and public enlightenment.
“On behalf of journalists in Ogun State, the Council wishes her good health, greater accomplishments and many more years of impactful service to the people”, the statement reads
