ABEOKUTA – The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ogun State Command has arrested one Abiodun Taofeek a ‘Marijuana dealer’ for allegedly assaulting and vandalizing a vehicle belonging to the command.
The State Commandant, David Ojelabi, paraded the suspects at the command’s headquarters in Abeokuta on Wednesday.
Ojelabi noted that suspect confessed to being a dealer on Cannabis Sativa otherwise termed “Marijuana”
The suspect who was apprehended by operatives of Ijebu North-East Local Government Area of the state on arrest assaulted the divisional officer and his personnel.
In an attempt to resist arrest, Taofeek (the suspect) allegedly shattered the windscreen of a Toyota Camry registered under the licence plate KRY-994 DR, which belonged to one of the division’s Civil Defence Corps officers.
The commandant emphasised, however, that the suspect will face charges that are appropriate under the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s current constitution.
