ABEOKUTA– A Non-governmental Organisation (NGO), Toyosi Craig Foundation has showered scholarship grants to about seven students and entreprenuers in Ogun state.
At the event held at the Student Development Center, Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), in Abeokuta on Wednesday, two students, Emmanuel Edun and Bowale Ayoola were awarded N300,000 naira scholarship to study at Rise Academy.
Other students, Adebajo Pamilerin, Akindehinde Oluwatoyosi, and a student from Alaba Lawson group of Schools were awarded student scholarship worth N50,000 each.

Adeleye Mojeed and Omobayoji Soneye, both entrepreneurs received a cash boost of N50,000 as stability fund to assist their businesses.
Speaking at the event, the convener, Dr. Toyosi Craig encourage the students to remain focus on their studies, saying that they can achieve the impossible if they are determined.
He further narrated his struggles in life while growing up, saying that if he can achieve his goals in life, they can also become somebody in the future.
“I once attended an interview where I was supposed to be a french speaking candidate, but for determination, focus and never giving up spirit, I got the job. So, never take a no for an answer”, he stressed
Meanwhile, Iyalode Alaba Lawson, who was one of the panelists, caution against cutting corners in the journey of life, adding that for success to be attained, there is no substitute to hardwork.
“This is Iyalode Alaba Lawson who was hawk Ogi (pap) for my mother before I can go to school. This is the same Iyalode Alaba Lawson that used to fetch firewood in order to get small change to support myself.
“But, today the same Iyalode Alaba Lawson is the first woman to head Nigeria Association of Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA). So, with determination, focus and God on your side, you can achieve your goals”, she added
In his goodwill message, the Founder of Penpushing Media, Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji lauded the initiative behind the event, saying that more program in it’s nature will further shape the youth of today for a brighter future, saying the country will be the better for it.
Other members of the panel includes, a renowned legal luminary, Dr. Kayode Akinsola, A solar system engineer, Adebola Anofi, Politician and youth advocate, Solomon Enilolobo and Elizabeth Amodu, who runs the youth development center.
