ABEOKUTA– There was mild drama in Oso Abe Oloba area, Mowe, in Obafemi-Owode Local Government area of Ogun State as Land invaders threatened to sack residents’ of the area, claiming that the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun owns the Land
However, residents of the area has challenged the State Governor, to speak on the alleged invasion of its properties, poportedly sponsored by him.
The community in a communiqué signed Tuesday 13th, April 2021 by all the chairmen of the 10 Estates in the community, stated that the call is necessary to allay the insinuation that the marauders were truly sponsored by the state governor.
Recall that the community had in a petition addressed to the governor, through the office of the Special Adviser on Security raised concerns over the invasion of its land by armed mobile police personnel backed group of people that claimed they were sent by the state governor, who they claimed is the new owner of their land.
At a well attended stakeholder’s forum organized to deliberate on the security of lives and property in the community, it was resolved that there is need for the Governor to speak out if its true he actually sent them or not.
It also demanded a reaction from the Inspector General of Police (IGP), on the possible wrong use of the police personnel in the matter.
