As part of its social responsibilities to its host community to cushion the effect of the lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Everest Metal Nigeria Limited has distributed food items and cash to Ogijo residents in Ogun State.
The Managing Director of the company, Mr Vikas Das made this known while speaking with Journalists via the phone, adding that the gesture is meant to support the state government efforts in bringing succour to the people.
Vikas said that the beneficiaries, which are mainly the aged people, company workers, and vulnerable residents of its host community.
He further commend President Muhammadu Buhari for putting in place necessary measures to curtail the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
Vikas urged Nigerians, especially the company’s factory workers to always obey the directive laid down by the federal and state government in preventing the spread of the virus
“I am appealing to our factory workers not to disobey the government’s directives, while I urge them to remain at homes pending the time the issue of Corona Virus will be over”
“They should always wash their hands properly and avoid social gathering, by doing so, they are likely to be free from the virus”
“I appreciates the efforts of the state and federal government so far in putting necessary measures in place to end the virus” he concludes
