ABEOKUTA– The founder of Safe Her Foundation, Rev. Fola Achudume has tasked Ogun students to be self-reliant in order to actualize their desired dreams.
Achudume stated this while hosting different secondary school students in the state to the maiden edition of the Special Teenagers Conference held at Victory Plaza, Abeokuta.
The conference, with the theme, ‘I Will Shine” organized by Achudume’s foundation is aimed at empowering the youths for greater exploits, adding that “the children are the heritage of the Lord”.
According to her, “the society is trying to grapple with many challenges that affect the upcoming generation, like substance abuse, child molestation, mental health concerns, depression, peer pressure, violence, among others, and that they demand immediate attention”, she added
Achudume also observed that sadly, these challenges have a noticeable lack of empathy and understanding, and called for pro-activeness from all and sundry.
The wife of the Setman at the Victory Life Bible Church International (VLBC), Apostle Lawrence Achudume however encouraged the teenagers to always believe in themselves, urging them to discover their inner strengths and fully utilize them towards a blissful future.
She further opined that in the face of these challenges, the budding teenagers boast of great potentials that if well channeled would help shape their future.
She added that with their unwavering confidence which they exude, their lights will shine brightly, illuminating the path for others to witness and embrace the divine presence of God in their lives.
She however lauded the Management and teaching staff of the participating schools for making their students available, expressing optimism that the teenagers will exemplify honour and uphold the tenets that the society hold dear, and serving as role models for all.
