ABEOKUTA– Youths under the aegis of Youth For New Nigeria (YNN), Ewekoro Chapter and Onigbedu Youth Association has exonerated Oba Ajibulu, the Onigbedu of Gbedu Kingdom over an alleged fracas with some members of the community.
Recall that a news medium, not The News Ville has reported that the Onigbedu engaged some youth in the community in a open fight over land matters.
In a press statement made available to newsmen through the Associations, the youth describes the publication as the works of some land grabbers who are hell bent on destroying the peaceful existence in the community.
“It has come to our notice that some bloggers are using some opportunities to eat and to promote what is not right, without doing investigation on what is going on the community we heard it in a statement that some monarch which they can’t mentioned, because they were not sure maybe it was true.
“Truly there is some misunderstanding among the king and youth which is our father. Our loving kings which is normal that father and son can fight and it normal that the father can punish his child for his wrong doing.
“It has now come to our notice that some bloggers are using it against the youth that the king is fighting the youth for land which we are using this medium to debunk this allegation laying for us.
“Onigbedu youth and the king never fought on issues of land.
“We are using this medium to tell all the youth association to stand with us because we are have been facing the issues of land grabbing since the beginning of this year in which the king and the community are fighting against it.
“Our kings is not a land grabber, he is a loving king that always listen to the youth.
“We are urging everyone to visit the community to hear about the side of the story”, the statement reads
