Committed to the promotion and sustenance of peace and tranquility in Ogun State, the State House of Assembly has directed the Edumari family to steer clear of the 50 acres of landed properties allegedly belonging to Dr Sam Odunaro situated at Ijegemo, near Ilogbo in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the State thus, maintaining status quo ante, until the Assembly concludes its findings.
The Chairman, House Committee on Lands and Housing, Hon. Damilola Soneye issued the directive shortly after a meeting with representatives of Edumari, Oshoboja families alongside their legal counsels as well as Dr. Odunaro at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Soneye issued the stay of actions from all parties, while Dr. Odunaro should take charge of his landed property pending the conclusion of the Assembly’s investigations as the said court judgement being bandied around was only on eight acres, which was totally far away from the 50 acres belonging to Dr. Odunaro.
The Chairman, in company of the Assembly’s Majority Leader, Yusuf Sheriff, Honourables Olakunle Sobukanla, Ademuyiwa Adeyemi, Kemi Oduwole, Bolanle Ajayi and Abdul Bashir Oladunjoye after scrutinizing documents tendered before the Committee, noted that Odunaro’s parcel of land was totally far in distance to the eight acres belonging to Edumari Family.
He urged all the parties involved to maintain peace, adding that the Assembly would take drastic actions against anyone found to have violated the Assembly directive until the matter is finally resolved.
