ABEOKUTA– Former Deputy Director General (Strategy and Records), Atiku-Okowa 2023 Presidential Campaign Committee, Arc. Oladele Olaleye has hailed the recent court judgement affirming Hon. Abayomi Tella as the duly elected state chairman of the party.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Abeokuta, Olaleye however called on the Sikirulai Ogundele faction to use the judgement as a totem of introspection, sheath their swords and return to the party.
He emphasised that the party needs its unity ahead of the 2027 general elections, adding that the common enemy of the people remains the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
“I congratulate the Ogun state PDP members ably led by Hon. Abayomi Tella, our Infatigable state chairman, and Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, our apex leader for this well deserved victory.
“Once again, I appeal to our leaders, the trio of Hon. Sikirulai Ogundele, Otunba Jimi Lawal and Hon. Abdulkabir Akinlade, to use this outcome as a totem of introspection, sheaths their swords and come back to their pride of place in Ogun state PDP.
“We are not each other’s enemies; our real enemy is the ruling party that has placed an economic choakhold on the hardworking people of our state”, he said
The Federal High Court sitting in Abeokuta in case number FHC/AB/CS/124/2024 (Chief F. I. Akande & Others vs PDP & others), presided over by judge, Hon. justice A.J. Adeyemi delivered the ruling on Monday, in Abeokuta the Ogun state capital.
