ABEOKUTA— A group, BAT Project ’23 has pledged an estimate of 15million votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential flagbearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 general election.
This was made known by the National Coordinator of the group, Hassan Ali Makinta in Abeokuta, during the inauguration of the state exco held at the Ake palace arcade.
Makinta noted that the group, which has been in existence since 2018 will commence a door door campaign, canvassing through the 774 local government areas of the country.
“We have been canvasing people on the project since 2018, we have gone through every nooks and crannies canvasing people to vote Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“This organization is national not regional or local government, it cut across all the 36 states and FCT as well as those in diaspora.
“We have structures everywhere, people are doing their campaign day and night and we thank God that people have understood us and are ready to go with us”
“Even in the north where I come from and where the vice presidential candidate also comes from we have about 6 states, this organization under my rule is ready to give BAT an estimate of 15 million votes
“We have taken it upon ourselves to deliver on his mandate, we have employed strategies and are going to apply door to door campaign as I have already told you this organization is cut across all 36 states and the FCT as well as the774 local government in this country”
Also, Prince Emmanuel Ikusagba, the National Media Director of the group, disclosed that, Tinubu is not a one party man as even people from other party wants to join the BAT Project.
“What we found out during our elementary stage of this journey is that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not a one party man even people from other party wants to join the BAT project, we have people from other party saying if it is for this presidency Tinubu is the person they can vouch for to deliver good programs for Nigeria.
“So it is easier for us, if you look around you would see so many people and it took us lesser effort to bring them all together.
“Recently about two month ago, BAT challenged Nigeria to compare his track record with that of others and when we are talking about this track record we saw a physical evidence in Lagos state.We have heard even from others that took over from him that he laid a foundation on which they built on”.
A chieftain of the party, Desola Dopamu, describe Tinubu as a worldly leader capable to oversee the affairs of the country and take all Nigerian to a promise land, adding that the muslim muslim ticket has no effect in the chance of BAT
“As you can see jagaban has to pick someone who is effective capable and reliable as he has said when he was unveiling his running mate so Nigeria is no so much concerned about Muslim Muslim ticket bacuse we cannot differentiate between them in the ballot box what we need is someone who can reshape the economy n deliver Nigeria from the shackles we are in”.
He however advised the present governor of the state, Prince Dapo Abiodun to continue doing his best, adding that lofty and evidential governance can only be a yardstick for a second term in office.
“As we all know his excellency Prince Dapo is an all inclusive governor so I would encourage him to continue in that step and by the special grace of God 2023 he would be re-elected”, he added
