ABEOKUTA– Ganiyu Anofi is a Nigerian born, a custom clearing agent, who is married to a PhD holder, Dr. Gloria. Ganiyu was said to have hail from Sagamu, an ancient community in Ogun State, the Southwest of Nigeria.
On Sunday 1st of December 2024 precisely, Ganiyu was among the guests invited for a birthday party of another colleague at Agbomojo Hotels and Suites, Araromi, Abeokuta of Ogun State and his homosexual partner Seyi Johnson was invited by Ganiyu.
Report has it that both Ganiyu and Seyi were being monitored without knowing due to their intimacy on several occasions and mostly at party functions and in the community.
Meanwhile, a close source to the family told our correspondent that Ganiyu was caught in an hotel in Ibara, Abeokuta having sex with Seyi where he was beaten blue, black while Seyi immediately disappeared into the thin air, leaving Ganiyu to face the agony all alone.
It was gathered that Ganiyu eventually scampered for safety to avoid the community members who may likely take his life, beat him and he could even be stoned to death, knowing fully well that Nigerian Government frowned at homosexualism after being caught in the act. According to Nigerian law, Ganiyu might be subjected to a lengthy jail term of up to 14 years if prosecuted.
The hotel staff who does not want his name mentioned confirmed the incident to our reporter.
Out of fear, of death Ganiyu had since then been scampering for safety and no one could ascertain his whereabout as at the time of filing this report.
