ABEOKUTA– The All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate for Abeokuta North Local Government Area, Hon. Lanre Oyegbola has been successfully screened by the Ogun state Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) ahead of the forthcoming LG polls.
Oyegbola was screened along others party candidates from the 19 local government areas on Thursday, at the commission’s headquarters in Abeokuta, the Ogun state Capital.
Addressing newsmen after the exercise, Oyegbola commended the electoral umpire for the seamless exercise, saying that it is an improvement and sign of the preparedness of the electoral body for the coming election.
Fielding questions from newsmen, Oyegbola noted that his stance to resign if no development is achieved in his first 365 days remains, saying that he is committed to raise the bar of development at the grassroot.
“yes I said it that if I there is not transformation within my one year I will resign and I still stand on my word.
“My councillors by God’s grace are here and we are going to working together to bring about changes in the local government.
“We will work together to succeed because Success is not a one man affair, it is the responsibility of the councillors to ensure that we perform, if they play their part and i play my part and I will continue to push the ISEYA agenda of Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, Abeokuta North Local Government, definitely in one year, would be a different ball game”, he said
