IMASAYI-YEWA– As part of activities marking his 2nd year anniversary on the throne of his forefathers, the Olu of Imasayi-Yewa, HRM Oba (Rtn) Lukman Adeleke Kuoye fcim engaged with the community.
The stakeholders engagement tagged, ‘My 24 Months On The Throne’ saw representatives from the quarters, religious bodies, artisans, market traders, hunters, Hausa community and farmers in attendance.
Oba Kuoye thanked the stakeholders for their firm belief in God and him which culminated into the success and peace achieved so far in the last twenty-four (24) months on the throne, despite all the shenanigans from the mischief makers.
“It is a known fact all over the world that you cannot please everyone, but once your conscience tells you that you are getting it right, just continue”, Olu Imasayi-Yewa said.
The Kofoworade Oyesokun V, also thanked the stakeholders for their supports, saying that it have been a great challenge for him to intensify more efforts to upgrade the ancient town to a more habitable town.
He therefore appreciates the conventional and unconventional security officers in Imasayi-Yewa for their selfless services without expecting any incentive or inducement from any source.
He also advises parents to warn their wards who are in the habit of causing problems in Oluaso High School and in the town, especially around the market square, that anyone that is involved in any activities that may likely cause breach of peace in the town will surely face the consequences legally.
In his appreciation of the transport unions, Oba Kuoye said he is pleased with the way the union welcomed the change in their parking area, which according to him was embraced without any rancor.
In a related development, Oba Kuoye during the fifteen minutes recess joined the members of Boluwatife Cooperative & Multipurpose Society at the launching/presentation of Certificate to the society by the Ogun State Governor, who was represented by the Director of Cooperatives in the Ministry of Community Development/Cooperatives.
Oba Kuoye thanked the Governor for the timely approval of the Cooperative which resulted in the presentation of the certificate. He advised the leadership of the cooperative to be more proactive than before. He then charged the members to adopt the 4Ts (Thinking, Talent,, Treasure and Time) of Rotary as their guiding Ts. Oba Lukman Kuoye also told the parents to warn their children not to engage in any activity(ies) that may tarnish their family names.
The monarch also commended the Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, His Majesty Oba (Dr) ESV Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, Mfr Asade Agunloye IV, Olu of Ilaro-Yewa, Yewa Traditional Council members, all his Chiefs especially the members of Olu in Council, Imasayi-Yewa Home & Abroad for their supports since his ascension to the exalted throne, he then prayed that almighty Allah will continue to strengthen them.
He thereafter charged his personal staff and media team to do more in the coming years.
Speaking earlier, the stakeholders appreciated the monarch for the efforts he has taken in the areas of security of lives and properties, the market committee that are working assiduously to making sure that Imasayi-Yewa Market thrives.
Mention was made of the encouragement Oba Kuoye has imbibed in the indigenes and residents in the participation in CDA’s/CDC’s and PCRC activities, monitoring of Oluaso High School teachers and students, efforts on restoring the epileptic power supply which was due to vandalization and damages of the electric poles by Dangote Cement Plc, Ibese Plant trucks, the actions taken by the monarch to stop Dangote trucks from passing through the township roads except Alagbada, and finally, proactiveness of the monarch on any matter that was brought to the palace especially on land and other sundry matters.
