ABEOKUTA– A socio cultural Non-governmental organization, the Aviary Association Worldwide, Gateway Grande has called for an equitable and all inclusiveness as a way of fostering peaceful coexistence amongst countries of the world.
This much was the resolution of the association when it marked the 2021 International Day Of Peace in conjunction with the United Nations, in Abeokuta the Ogun state capital.
According to the Association President, Mr. Babatunde Elegbede, he noted that, COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 has changed a lot of things in humanity, at least, the way humans interact and live.
He therefore maintained that, the world have been resilient enough to carry on during the turbulent period, thus gradually emerging from the challenges, saying that one of the key lessons of the pandemic is sustainable living and fairness in mankind.
“No doubt, the world is healing from COVID-19, but this day is a reminder, that for the world to have a better recovery, mankind should steer clear of activities that damage natural resources which protect the environment that harbour humanity.
“It is a call on us to deal with habitants of the earth, living or non living, with fairness and impartiality.
“Protecting our environment sustainably and justly, would definitely bring about peace in humanity, and of course the preferable recuperation the world needs after the COVID-19 pandemic”, he added
