ABEOKUTA– Utility Sports FC, Lagos Wednesday started its preseason training camp at the May Flower School, Ikenne, Ogun State.
The camp however jumped into live with about 17 players and 1 Goalkeeper reporting to camp, while others are still being awaited as at the time of filing this report.
The Head Coach and former Nigerian International, Sunday Ilevbare who took charge of the team ensures the lads were tutored in different intensive training sessions
Speaking with Newsmen, the Team Director, Abiodun Lawal emphasized that the training camp became necessary in order to prepare the lads for the tasks ahead in the Surulere league.
Abiodun further stated that the camp would not be about football alone as other events are lined up to spice up the camp atmosphere.
“We are here to rigorously prepare for the resumption of the league and other scouting programs across the country. We need to improve the fitness level of the players as they have all been at home all these while because of the Christmas and New year break.
“Part of the training camp activities will also includes, motivational talks, career talk, know your rules of the game, attitude on and off the pitch, pep talk to the team which will enhance their performance in their chosen career, amongst others” Abiodun stated
He however appreciated the new sponsor for the team, Dream 2 Reality who took the financial burden of the making sure the camping exercise became a reality
“The sponsor, Dreams 2 Reality has been doing so well for the team In terms of providing for the team basics needs” he concludes
