ABEOKUTA- Former House of Representatives Member, Hon. Ladi Adebutu has raised concerns about the security situation in the country, saying that there is a total lost of hope in the APC administration of the country.
The former Lawmaker stated this at the opening of the new People Democratic Party (PDP) house in Abeokuta South Local Government area of Ogun State, tagged ‘Lado Tide Building’.
Lado, as fondly called reteraited that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is trying to restart governance by going to the grassroot mobilisation, adding that there cannot be any meaningful development without the people at the lowe cadre of the society.
In his words, “Today, we are opening a center for the purpose of the assembling a grand movement.
“There is total lost of hope in the people. If the people could not reconnect again, they will not have a nation, they must believe that this nation belongs to them
“We are trying our best to restart governance by going all the way to the grassroot, if you must help the nation restructure itself.
“We are waking up to the responsibility. What we have now is an attempt to energize the people so that we have a participation to understand that the nation belongs to them”.
‘Lado tide’, according to the former Lawmaker is a grand movement for the purpose of proper channeling the feeling of the people at the grassroot, adding that it is beyond the polling booth and electioneering.
“Our main focus is to re-energise the grassroot for development. This is because when you fail at the grassroot level, there is no foundation upon which you build. You can’t build a nation on nothing. You must build from the grassroot when the third tier of the government failed everything has failed we build everything from the grassroots
“So that is the basic reasons of the ‘Lado Tide’. It is not a Polling booth idea. It is before the polling booth, it is for every unit, every household” he reteraites
Mainwhile, about 200 indigenes of the local government area were empowered with cash donations to kickstart the program.
