ABEOKUTA– The Olu of Imasayi-Yewa, HRM Oba Lukman Adeleke Kuoye has felicitated with all Muslims, home and abroad on the celebration of the birth of the holy prophet, Mohammed (SAW).
In his message through his media consultant, Hakeem Adegbenro, Oba Kuoye described the noble Prophet as a role model to all, saying his life and times should reflect in all citizens.
Recall that the Federal Government had declared Wednesday, September 27, as a public holiday in commemoration of the birthday of the Holy Prophet.
“I wish to Felicitate with all our Muslim brothers and sisters all over the world as we celebrate the birth of the holy prophet, Mohammed (SAW).
“It is for us to reflect on his teachings, life and times on earth, while using that as benchmark for a our dealings with our fellow humans.
“The peaceful nature of prophet Mohammed (SAW) should be our guiding light. Let us imbibe the lessons of compassion, and support for one another”, Oba Kuoye said.
The monarch therefore use the occasion to call on the state government, relevant stakeholders to work on synergy in making the state peaceful, saying that without security, development will suffer.
“It is my hope that we all use this occasion and attributes of peace imbedded in the holy prophet Mohammed (SAW) to call for peace in our state, and our nation because without peace and security, we cannot have positive development”, he added
