ABEOKUTA– The Ogun State Chapter of the Freelance and Independent Broadcasters’ Association of Nigeria (FIBAN) has commended two of its members, Comrade Helen Okon, Immediate Past National Vice President I, and Comrade Kikelomo Ogunsina-Obabi, Immediate Past National General Secretary, for their meritorious service to the Association at the national level.
In the statement signed by Chief Olalekan A. Shoyinka, Chairman, Ogun FIBAN, and made available to newsmen in Abeokuta by Comrade Moses Okunlola, Secretary of the Chapter, Ogun FIBAN described the duo as worthy ambassadors who represented the state with integrity, dedication, and professionalism throughout their tenures. The Association noted that their contributions helped strengthen the image and operations of FIBAN nationally. The Chapter warmly welcomed them back home and wished them greater success in their future endeavours, expressing pride in their achievements.
The statement also praised Alhaji Gbenga Adebayo-Oladunni (Imalian Boy) for the successful completion of his two-term tenure as Chairman of the FIBAN Electoral Committee (FIBANEC). Ogun FIBAN acknowledged his doggedness, maturity, and fatherly leadership, which played a significant role in repositioning the Association and stabilising chapters previously affected by internal crises across the country.
Furthermore, the Chapter congratulated him on his appointment as Secretary of the National Transition Committee, expressing confidence in the leadership of the Committee under Mogaji Kola Olootu. Ogun FIBAN wished the Committee a successful and prosperous tenure.
