ABEOKUTA– Muiz Oladehinde Omitogun, born in Abeokuta attended Salvation Army Primary School, Ebute Metta, Lagos, Baptist Boys’ High School, Abeokuta, and Ogun state polytechnic, Abeokuta for his education.
In his quest for more knowledge, Muiz enrolled and proceeded to the University of Ibadan, where he obtained Masters in Managerial Psychology (MMP).
Omitogun is an associate of some institutions which include: Nigerian Institute of Management (ANIM), Nigerian Institute of Public Relations(ANIPR) and Associate, Registered practitioner in Advertising (ARPA).
This erudite politician had stints as a Journalist and a Public Relations Officer for many firms. He was Client Services Manager at CT & Associates Limited, Surulere, Lagos State, where he was saddled with the responsibility of handling PR needs of Clients, Formulation and writing of campaign Programmes and servicing of existing clients.
He was also the former Head, membership and Student Affairs, Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS), Lagos.
As former Supervisor for Health, under Engr. Lanre Edun, as Chairman of the local government, Omitogun was able to rehabilitate some health centres within the local government. He also ensured they had enough drugs and reagents just as some health posts were converted to well functional health centres.
A former Secretary to the Local Government, Omitogun desires to take the Premier local government to the next level by complimenting the efforts of the state government at the local government in the area of infrastructures, education, health, road, and agriculture.
So, as the race towards the Ogun State Local Government Elections hots up with several aspirations been thrown up, one outstanding son of the soil has just launched into the deep, savouring the need to lead his people.
The good people of Abeokuta South Local Government crave for a leader, so confident, with the courage to make tough decisions, howbeit to the benefits of the citizenry.
