ABEOKUTA– Ahead of the November 16, 2024 local government elections, the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC), has scheduled a stakeholders meeting on Thursday.
Recall that the electoral umpire had recently released the timetable for the 2024 Elections for positions of Chairmanship in the 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Councillorship in the 236 wards in the state.
In the release signed by the Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Babatunde Osibodu, indicated that election scheduled to hold on Saturday, November 16, 2024, was in accordance with section 10(1) of the Ogun State Electoral Law, 2007.
Osibodu stated that the stakeholders’ meeting would hold at the Cinema Hall of the June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 10.00am prompt, during which the 2024 Electoral Guidelines would be unveiled to all political parties and the general public.
Relevant stakeholders, including the media were enjoined to be seated by 9.30am.
