IKOM– The Executive Chairman of Ikom Local Government Area, Hon. Pastor [Mrs] Mercy Nsor, has charged all Ikom Sons and Daughters, as well as Residents in the Council, to join forces in the build-up to the new and greater Ikom Local Government Council.
She stated this during an Award Ceremony in her Honor by members of the “Ikom Like-Minds Initiative,” an umbrella body of Ikom Like-Minds regardless of Social, Religious, Cultural, and Political affiliation.
She noted that with the huge endowments of both Mineral and Human Resources, Ikom should compete favorably with other Commercial cities across the Country.
She noted that except collective involvement and deliberate measures are adopted irrespective of shared differences in Tribes, Religion, and Political affiliations, the LGA will only remain a giant from the exterior and dwarf in productivity.
It encompasses Leaders and Members from the Eleven Council Wards of Ikom LGA; their Vision is holistic and responsible for the building of a greater Ikom.
Presenting the Award to the Council Boss on behalf of the Group, Pst. Kris Ogar [JP], supported by the group’s Secretary, Comrade Dec. Paul Mkpeje, thanked God for the emergence of Pastor Mercy Nsor, noting that it’s a manifestation of God’s desire for the Council.
They outlined the Chairman’s steering characteristics which they said matches with the wishes and prayers of all Ikom Sons and Daughters as well as other Residents.
The Ikom Like-Minds Forum has Dist. Sen. Victor Ndoma Egba as her patron and Amb. J.T. Ayambem is the Patriarch of the group, while Dr. Bassey Okim (Esq) serves as Group Chairman
