CALABAR– In a shocking turn of events, Kenneth Anam, the Special Assistant to the Wife of the Cross River State Governor on Communication, has publicly criticized the state government over the poor condition of Primary Healthcare Centres in Odukpani Local Government Area.
Anam, in a viral Facebook post, shared disturbing images of dilapidated health facilities, directly indicting the government for neglecting its responsibilities. He asserted that he was speaking as both a constituent and an indigene of Odukpani, the home of Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, emphasizing that he understands the struggles of his people firsthand.
“We deserve more and will amplify our voices devoid of any political colouration. This is the state of the healthcare facility in my village and what our people are going through,” Anam stated.
The images he shared depict the dire state of healthcare facilities in Eniong Abatim Ward, the very community where he hails from. This public outcry has sparked intense reactions, as it highlights the failing state of healthcare infrastructure in the Governor’s own Local Government Area.
